Urbanears Hideout
We all know that ADE can be somewhat distressing and require rehab, both for body and soul. Therefore, from Thursday to Saturday during the annual music festivities in October, we give you Urbanears Hideout! This daily open house lets you escape from all the formal activities where relaxation, performances and creativity will tickle your senses. All of course fueled by a great dose of music. Not to mention all the amazing food that’s provided by our friends at the Food Line Up.
Here’s some of the exciting stuff that’s going down:
– Open House Breakfast & Fika
Satisfy your taste buds with the daily Swedish styled breakfast and ’fika’. Get the extra extra caffeine shot needed during the three days of festivities.
– Artistic Morning Exercise Extraordinaire
Courageous early birds who need a hand landing on their feet and relocating the joints after a night out can embark on a morning session of not-to-serious body moves.
– PIPS:lab
This theater collective emerged from the Amsterdam underground party scene. These guys will offer highly interactive, hilarious and super smart theater performances with a bunch of installations to choose from.
– Pampering Room
One room of the house is converted as the ultimate pampering area. Hangover, pain, in need of a love band-aid? Everything is taken care of by a special team in charge of your comfort.
– PechaKucha
PechaKucha is the Japanese word for ’chit-chat’, but it’s also the name given to the simple show and tell format where presenters display 20 images for 20 seconds each. Everyday three speakers from the music and tech industry will hold inspiring presentations.
– Staircase Expo – 20 Years Of ADE
Take a trip down memory lane with this photo exhibition by Krijn van Noordwijk. Experience the highlight of two decades of one of the most important music events and conferences to date.
