Red Rack’em:
I played in Rotterdam last month for the Triphouse Records guys and I was blown away by the whole experience. They were opening their new record store on the day I arrived and I was struck by the communal atmosphere and the mix of people.
Later on we headed to the venue and I heard an amazing warm up set from one of the Triphouse founder Khalil. He played a woozy, atmospheric set of wonky hip hop bangers, soulful cuts and the odd bit of slow mo house. Fortunately the set was recorded so I can feature a section of it as the guestmix on Wednesdays show.
I predict great things for Triphouse – they have a cracking first single in the pipeline from Frits Wentink – http://clone.nl/item21404.html and plenty more heat on the way. They are doing events and have their own community space/record store in Rotterdam.
The rest of the show will feature loads of ace brand new music – you know the drill..
