Ka§par is usually considered the youngest veteran in Portugal, by his peers. He sprung into action as a full time deejay and musician at age fifteen, in 1997, since then he’s recorded on dozens of releases, spawned a varied array of styles. His profile increased considerably over the last few years, after his return as a Red Bull Music Academy graduate and his most notorious work has consistently been released by two distinct artistic families: 4Lux and Groovement. Ka§par’s sound is peculiarly deep, incorporating his many influences in one very personal brand of introspective, physical electronic soul music. Ka§par’s dj’ing is known for being eclectic and intense, and very well executed, digging deep into a huge record collection but also including some fresh promo action, creating a blend that is all his own. February 2013 will see 4Lux release Ka§par’s first album “Ascensus”, a 17+ track strong opus on the spiritual ascension of a music creator, through his relationship with sound. This will be Ka§par’s long awaited debute in Rotterdam!

Also shining behind the wheels of steel this night is the Chilean/Dutch phenomenon Carlos Valdes. Amsterdam clubbing these days wouldn’t be the same without the ongoing efforts of this dj/producer/promoter/labelowner. Not only has he enriched the city’s nightlife with a series of refreshing initiatives, breaking new artists from abroad and pushing a young generation of local talent. He’s also managed to become one of Holland’s most respected and loved underground dj’s, setting dancefloors aflame across the Netherlands and abroad.
To top it off we also have a back 2 back set by Triphouse maestro’s Khalil and Steven Pieters. These Rotterdam based artists have been taking over the underground scene by storm. Their vibrant blend of mind penetrating deephouse, flowing disco grooves and funky garage has gained them respect from crowds all over Europe. They bring warm and soulful sounds but always keep a freaky edge and a powerful hypnotic groove to it. Beside dj’ing and producing Khalil and Steven Pieters are also actively involved in the Triphouse Rotterdam collective (which includes a recordshop, radioshow, label and various events), promoting the underground house culture in their hometown.
