The Beatmakers Union and HipHopHuis present “Let’s Talk Beats” at the Schouwburg in Rotterdam.
On the 13th of February they encourage beatmakers to come and join us and make music. They asked Steven Pieters from Triphouse to dig into his extensive record collection and come up with a rare song which they will use for a live beatmaking sample session. They will supply you with a usb stick containing the sample to use to create a beat in an hour. Bring your laptop, midi controller and a dose of inspiration and join them! Please mind this is not a battle, but a little heat ain’t never hurt nobody. They will round the evening off with a listening session of all the beats that were made during the evening. And also provide you with some snacks.

HipHopHuis opened at Coolhaven in Rotterdam in 2002 and it’s been a hangout for Rotterdams HipHop scene ever since. HipHop elements define the program: Classes, training and projects for Breakers, DJ’s, beatcreators and writers.
The Beatmakers Union. The idea behind this concept is to bring together the Vinyl Collector and the Beatmaker to jam in a session, revolving around the collectors gems and the ability to flip those by the Beatmakers.
