On Thursday September 1st, Atlas Electronic kicks off a brand new four day music and arts festival in a beautiful, exotic location just outside the bustling city of Marrakech, Morocco. Between September 1st and 4th, art, visuals, local music and culture intersect with performances by leading electronic music artists such as James Holden & Maalem Houssam Guinia, DVS1, Roman Flügel, Optimo, Ryan
Elliott, Funkineven, Acid Arab, secretsundaze and more. Besides passe-partouts, single day tickets are on sale now.
Next to the outstanding musical programming, Atlas Electronic presents local and international graphic, video and performance art. Kechlight is a light painter, who will brighten up the Atlas nights. Street artist Kalamour Abdellatif and designer Yassine Morabite will live paint special masterpieces during the festival. Various international and local VJ’s, a shisha lounge, traditional story tellers and among other surprising acts will add extra flavour to the festival.
Atlas Electronic is a collaboration between festival organizer Karim Mrabti and Triphouse Rotterdam. Out of their Rotterdam based office, preparations are made for the debut edition of Atlas Electronic. With partners Resident Advisor, secretsundaze, Red Light Radio, DJBroadcast, Cartel Amsterdam, Cosmo records, FMR Experience, and the local art and travel scene, Atlas Electronic promises to deliver an exciting crossover event. Cutting edge Western electronic music meets Arabic influences, all served at the foot of the Atlas mountain range, just outside Marrakech.
